Chapter 313: Aunt Flo Has Arrived

Yan Xiaosi felt dizzy and disoriented, her face flushed red, breathing heavily with her heart pounding like thunder.
Unfortunately, Long Yu still had no intention of letting her go, continuing to kiss her lips furiously, tasting every corner of her mouth.
In her previous life, Yan Xiaosi had seen a gossip post online about a young couple where the girl suffocated to death while kissing. At the time, she thought it was nonsense, but now she believed it.
If Long Yu continued kissing her like this, she would soon run out of breath.

Having known Long Yu for so long, this was the first time she had seen this man with such an expression.
Was he truly angry? If she had provoked such a man to anger, crushing her would only require moving a finger.
Her frightened gaze was like a fine needle piercing into Long Yu’s heart.
Long Yu clenched his fist and threw a powerless punch at the bedding beside her ear.
“Are you nervous? Are you afraid?”
With a thud beside her ear, Yan Xiaosi’s heart pounded rapidly.
Of course she was nervous, of course she was afraid. She was just a common person, and before having enough ability to protect herself, being nervous and afraid when provoking such an important figure was a normal physiological reaction.
She remained silent with a guarded expression. Long Yu’s heart ached as he drew in a sharp breath and spoke weakly: “Yan Xiaosi, even if I were to strike at anyone, I would never strike at you.”
He liked her, liked her so much that he didn’t even care about gender anymore.
Yan Xiaosi breathed a sigh of relief.

Long Yu noticed her tense expression relax and showed a defeated look. He got up and turned his back to her.
“It’s already very late, and you’re tired too. Rest well here tonight. If you really don’t want to live in the same military tent as me, I’ll have Long Yi set up a separate tent for you first thing in the morning.”
Yan Xiaosi moved her lips, somewhat wanting to speak, but the words reached her mouth yet ultimately couldn’t form a sound.
With chaotic emotions, she sat on the bed watching Long Yu walk out of the tent.
After Long Yu left, she dropped her bundle and sat cross-legged on the bed, inserting both hands into her hair, her mood even more chaotic than before.
Clearly during the day she and Long Yu had been talking and laughing together, so how did they end up fighting at night? She didn’t understand either where that sudden burst of inexplicable anger had come from.
A quarter-hour later, Long San brought in hot water.
Long San helped her pour the hot water into the bathtub and glanced at the person still sitting cross-legged on the bed, saying respectfully: “The hot water was ordered by Master for this subordinate to bring. Young Master Yan, you should wash before sleeping.”
Yan Xiaosi shook her head, trying to shake off her troubled mood, and raised an eyebrow to glance at Long San.
“Long San, where is your master?”
“Master took people on night patrol.”
“Oh, you may go.”
After Yan Xiaosi finished bathing and lay back on the bed, having traveled all day, her body was originally very tired, yet she tossed and turned unable to sleep. Her eyes occasionally glanced toward the tent entrance curtain, her mind constantly conjuring up Long Yu’s somewhat hurt figure as he left.
That night, the curtain at the tent entrance hung quietly still.
Yan Xiaosi stared at the quietly hanging curtain until her eyes became dry and sore. She didn’t know when she fell asleep, but when she woke up, the sky was already bright, and as soon as she opened her eyes, she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen.
She shifted her body slightly and felt a warm flow streaming out from inside her body.
This was definitely not incontinence.
Her abdomen sent another wave of sharp pain.
Her body immediately curled into a ball, both hands covering her stomach under the blanket, her facial expression changing unpredictably.
This feeling of abdominal cramping was too familiar.
Her period had come!
Why did it have to come now!
She was currently in a military camp!
Without menstrual cloths, how would she handle this!
What if Long Yu discovered it!
One question after another appeared consecutively in her mind. Having just woken up with some lingering drowsiness, she was now completely alert.

After chanting the calming mantra several times and forcing herself to calm down, she sat up from the bed and lifted the bedding to check the situation underneath.

Long Yu stood at the entrance for a moment, gathered his courage to lift the curtain and enter, only to see her curled up in a ball, hiding in the bedding like a dog.
“Are you awake?”
Yan Xiaosi covered herself with the blanket, staying completely still, trying to pretend to be asleep to make the man by the bed leave.
But the man remained motionless, standing by the bed as steady as Mount Tai.
“If you’re awake, get up quickly, wash up and have breakfast.”
The person on the bed remained completely still.
The man sighed helplessly.
“If you’re angry at me, then be angry at me, but don’t take it out on your own body by sulking. Get up quickly. The military tent is already being set up. If you want to move out, you can do so tonight. If you like it here, I’ll give this place to you.”
Yan Xiaosi was very touched, feeling warm in her heart, but she couldn’t move. Gritting her teeth, she continued pretending to sleep.
The man sensed something was wrong.
The little thing was always alert and wouldn’t sleep so deeply. Having said so many nice words yet still getting no reaction, either the little thing was ill, or the little thing didn’t want to acknowledge him.
Yan Xiaosi suddenly felt the outer side of the bed sink down, her heart nervously skipping a beat.
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell somewhere?”
Immediately after, that gentle and pleasant voice drew closer and closer to her ear.
